My friends laughed when I said I was going to be an estate agent due to the drastic change from car restoration and my love of anything with an engine to selling houses! But now with over two decades in the property industry I have gained an abundance of experience in front line agency, starting as trainee negotiator, to owning my own agency to holding senior management positions in Asset Management for Connells and Countrywide and before Your Lead In I built one of the most successful Estate Agent business generation departments in country for Nick Dunning Associates. Outside of work I’m always doing something, working on my latest project which is currently planning the build on my house, training for my next event which will be my 11th Ironman, looking after the new Pomsky or best of all, just having a beer with family and friends!
Starting in the property industry over ten years ago and after cutting my teeth in sales, leading a team for an international karate school as a teenager (yeah, really). Once I had my foot in the door, I wanted to learn as much as possible across the whole industry. I’ve spent the last decade gaining high-level experience in corporate asset management, estate agency and new homes, dealing with properties and advising clients all over the UK. Outside of work you’ll find me having a kickabout with my 7-year-old boy or reading up on whatever has caught my interest on that day of the week.
My career started working as an estate agent 45 years ago and after 11 years of branch management I got the biggest break of my life to set up an asset management company for Nationwide Building Society. This was the foundation for my career in asset management during which time I have held MD positions at Countrywide for 18 years and more recently as MD of Connells Asset Management. I’m really excited about using all this experience to help the Your Lead In team to grow their Part Exchange and Asset Management business. Hopefully this will still leave me with a bit of time to relax with some clay pigeon shooting and white water kayaking with friends on the river Wye.
My professional career started in Estate Agency during the 90's and then diverged into BPO & MSP solutions for £multi-million Construction, Facilities Management and Public Realm projects across the UK and Ireland. Originally from Cornwall, I have two passions: Rugby and Coffee, currently holding honorary positions as Commercial Director for Hampshire Rugby Union and Sponsorship Secretary at United Services Portsmouth Rugby Club as well as owning his own Coffee Micro-Roastery.
My job at Your Lead In is really enjoyable and I have built great relationships with my colleagues and our clients. I chose to go into a role in property as I know it is a great industry to build on, learn and offer me great career opportunities. It is a great feeling knowing you are part of someone’s journey into finding the right property for them. Away from work I enjoy going to new restaurants, shopping, and going for long walks with my partner and our French bulldog. I also enjoy the occasional game of tennis, although I must admit I am not the best at it.
I found my feet in the property industry in 2018, and after a year of travelling I’m back and ready to conquer! I have a strong passion for architecture, and I believe the root of a happy person is a happy home. Buying, selling, or renting a property can always be a stressful game to play, and I aim to give everyone the best help I can to try and make it easier in every way. Working in such a challenging and demanding environment has really taught me a lot in both my career and personal life, and I can’t wait to learn more. In between looking after my rescued puppy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and a good series binge.
I never really knew which direction I wanted to go in life until I started my career in financial services. This developed my interest in property and this turned out to be my true passion. Joining Your Lead In has just added to that and is giving me a level of experience to be able to help our clients the best way I can and I’m learning every day which makes it all the more enjoyable. It also gives me the money I need so I can spend my valuable free time with friends and family going out for food and the cinema, and don’t get me started on basketball!
My grandma used to be an estate agent in Fulham and from a very young age I used to spend time at the office with her, where my love for the property industry first begun. I have been lucky enough to get a job in the property industry and hope to grow and develop with Your Lead In. I come from a strong customer service background where I led a team of 35 people. In my spare time I like to go to Queens Park Rangers home games in Shepherd’s Bush and have been a season ticket holder for just over 10 years with my dad.
I spent so many summer holidays as a child helping take apart houses my grandparents were planning to restore and sell which is what started my interest in property. Saying that, after I left school I tried my hand at hairdressing but I quickly decided my heart lay in property, and have now taken on an apprenticeship scheme to become a fully qualified property consultant with Your Lead In. After watching multiple family members thoroughly enjoy their careers in property I knew it was the right path for me. In my spare time I enjoy baking and going out to new bars and restaurants with friends.
I was Born in LLendelio, Wales, in May 2021 to my father who was mainly a Husky, and my mother who was mainly a Pomsky. This means I’m technically a F2 Pomsky so should end up about the same size as a small Labrador. I’m currently in training to be allowed off my lead but I’m told I’m not very good yet but I do enjoy going out and meeting new friends, my favourite things to do are eating anything I can find, having my belly rubbed and running away from my owner, Ross. I spend a lot of my time asleep on the office floor so if you’re around and want to pop in and say hello, please feel free
